Urban Accessibility Plans
Urban Accessibility Plans (UAPs) are strategic plans of the required configurations, interventions and constructions to ensure accessibility. Their aim is to determine the points of the required configurations, interventions and constructions and to identify the accessible linear routes between them, so as to create a network of accessible movements towards basic shared and public uses at the municipal level. In the context of the preparation of the UAP, sidewalks / pedestrian streets / low-traffic streets, crossings, free green spaces / squares / groves, parking lots and entrances to public buildings / buildings that host shared or public uses are examined. An analysis of the existing situation and proposed interventions to ensure accessibility as well as geospatial databases are included.
